Hyatt Centric Park City, the Hotel Review

Hyatt Centric Park City
Hyatt Centric Park City

One of the most popular winter destinations in Utah is the little town of Park City, just outside of Salt Lake City. Famous for its ski resorts, good food, and museums, Park City is definitely a great place to visit.

We stayed at Hyatt Centric Park City, located at the base of the Canyons Village. It’s a ski-in ski-out resort with standard rooms and one to four bedroom residences. This Hyatt’s great location, just 10 minutes away from the charming Main Street, is perfect for accessing everything you need and exploring Park City.

Hounds Tooth Inn, the Hotel Review

Hounds Tooth Inn

We were happy to discover this small rustic boutique inn from the Small Luxury Hotels of the World chain called Hounds Tooth Inn. Hounds Tooth Inn is a cozy and stylish property situated on 3.5 acres in the little town of Oakhurst, California. It’s located at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and is only a short drive from Yosemite National Park.

We have to admit, there are not so many properties that you can stay on points in proximity to National Parks. And we could not miss a chance to stay at one of them.

The Eliza Jane, New Orleans, the hotel review

Last December, we spent a few nights in New Orleans. This vibrant, historic city attracts many tourists yearly, and we decided to visit it right before Christmas. This post includes our Eliza Jane Hotel New Orleans review along with some festive highlights from our trip.

We hoped to combine exploring New Orleans’ attractions with diving into the Christmas spirit with festively decorated streets. When looking for a place to stay, we quickly checked the Hyatt map of hotels in New Orleans so that we could book our stay on points.

It appeared there are five Hyatt properties in the city, representing 5 Hyatt brands (or collections) – Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Regency, and The Eliza Jane from the Unbound Collection. After some consideration, we decided upon the latter. Located on Magazine Street, this boutique hotel is only a few minutes from the famous French Quarter.

Best things to do in New Orleans, Louisiana, with kids

This December, we spent a few days in New Orleans, Louisiana. When planning our trip back in July, we pictured ourselves having café au lait in a historic courtyard of the French Quarter, the girls enjoying sunny southern days, and checking off a list of fun things to do in New Orleans with kids, from steamboat rides to beignets in Jackson Square.

Can you imagine December of 2022 being one of the coldest winters in New Orleans’ history? On some days, the temperature dropped to 20°F (-4°C), and it got quite chilly with wind gusts. That said, we layered up and did what we could to explore this beautiful, resilient city.

Although the weather forced us to skip a few outdoor activities, the girls (and we!) still managed to pack in plenty of adventures, and we can’t wait to share some of the best family-friendly experiences with you.
