About Meow Wolf Santa Fe

The original Meow Wolf started as an underground art collective in Santa Fe in 2008 and has since become a permanent immersive art exhibit made by local artists.

The Santa Fe exhibit is set up like a Victorian-style home. As we walked through more than 70 various rooms and hallways, we found ourselves in a colorful, psychedelic wonderland.

As soon as we stepped inside, we were transported to another world. The attention to detail was incredible, with each room telling its own story and inviting to explore.

This multi-dimensional experience had us crawling through secret passages, playing with interactive displays, and even climbing up into a treehouse. How often do you get to go inside a washer or a fridge?

  1. Although we had timed entry tickets, we still needed to wait for about 30-40 minutes before entering.

  3. Strollers and Backpacks are NOT permitted inside. Park your stroller outside and leave your backpack in a paid locker (buy two tokens inside for $1 each).
  4. No outside food is allowed nor the liquids. You must empty the water bottles before entering and refill them if needed inside.
  5. Once exited, no reentry is allowed.

Dining

There is a cafe inside Meow Wolf Santa Fe that only offers drinks and a few snacks. Unfortunately, we can’t say it was enough to have a proper lunch. However, there is a food truck just outside of the building, so you might want to grab a bite before entering.

Craft room

A nice touch was a craft room where kids (and adults) could become artists and express themselves through coloring and making crafts.

Store

From colorful clothing to funky art pieces, the store has treasures that will catch your eye and spark your imagination.

Bottom line

If you’re in the area, make sure to check out this unique and immersive art installation. It’s definitely worth the visit! You can’t miss this exceptional artwork that captures your attention from the moment you step in. Both our kids and we enjoyed the exhibit and found it to be very entertaining.
