The hotel is situated in a beautiful, natural setting, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape and the lake’s crystal-clear waters. The hotel is conveniently located near several popular attractions in the area, including the Northstar California resort and the Sand Harbor State Park.

Location

Hyatt Regency Monterey is located in Monterey, California, just a short distance from the city’s downtown area and the beautiful coastline. While the hotel is not directly in the downtown area or by the ocean, it is only about a 5-minute drive (or a 30-minute walk) to the Fisherman’s Wharf, where you can find a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions and a 10-minute drive away from the Monterey Bay Aquarium offering an opportunity to explore the area’s rich marine life.

Booking Hyatt Regency Monterey

Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel And Spa On Del Monte Golf Course is Category 5 Hyatt Hotel with 20,000 Hyatt Points per night on a Standard Night, 17,000 Hyatt Points, and 23,000 Hyatt Points on off-peak and peak nights, respectively.

We loved The Bar at Sea Root, located by the large crackling fire pits overlooking the golf course. Not only was it a comfortable and relaxing space to enjoy our food and drinks, but the kids could also roast marshmallows and make s’mores.

In addition, the hotel had an outdoor ping pong table and a giant Jenga, providing kids with fun and engaging activities.

3. Carmel Valley Ranch

Location

Carmel Valley Ranch is located in Carmel Valley, California, a scenic area on the state’s central coast. The resort is situated on 500 acres of beautiful rolling hills and lavender fields, offering guests a serene and peaceful environment to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The resort is just a short drive from the charming town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, known for its galleries, shops, and restaurants.

Booking Carmel Valley Ranch

Carmel Valley Ranch is a Category 8 Hyatt Hotel with 40,000 Hyatt Points per night on a Standard Night, 35,000 Hyatt Points, and 45,000 Hyatt Points on off-peak and peak nights, respectively.

Hotel Activities

One unfortunate aspect of the Carmel Valley Ranch is that the main pool and the infinite hot tub are adult-only, which can be disappointing for families with kids. Access to the family pool requires a short drive down the hill. This can be inconvenient for families with young children who may not want to drive or be driven to the pool.

Nonetheless, Carmel Valley Ranch offers a wide variety of activities for both adults and children to enjoy. Guests can participate in outdoor adventures such as hiking and biking. We loved visiting the Corral, the goat farm, and the chicken coup. For those who prefer a more relaxing vacation, the resort offers a full-service spa and a variety of dining options.

Children can have fun at the resort’s Kids’ Camp, where they can participate in various activities, including arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, and walks to the Organic Garden.

The waterslide was a big hit with our daughter Sophia!
